When You Feel Like You’ve Lost Your Faith

“Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.”~Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭

Losing faith in God can happen for a number of reasons. Maybe life hasn’t been going so great and you just can’t find any good in your situation. You lose your job, a relationship ends, or you get a bad report from your doctor, and maybe thats when your faith starts to fade. You begin questioning “Does God even care?” or “If God is good, then why is He letting this happen?”

I had this happen to me recently. The past few weeks have been difficult, and at first I blamed God for all the things that had gone wrong in my life. I was struggling, and I knew that God was able to take it all away. He could have made it all go away, but He didn’t, and that hurt. But, I think when this happens it’s important to remember that God knows best, and He works on his timeline and not our own.

This world can be filled with letdowns, heartache, pain, and if we let it this world can rob us of our faith .Yes, this world and the people in it will let us down, we end up hurt, things go wrong, but despite this we can still hold onto hope that God will do what He said He would do. We may not be able to see for ourselves how our situation can be worked out for the good, but I promise you that God does, and He is working in every part of our lives to make it happen.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“ Romans‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭

So, no matter what season of life you are in, no matter what you’re going through right now, hold onto the hope that God is working everything out for the good even when you can’t see it yourself.

And don’t lose faith. 💛
